Philosophy of Care:
Birth is a threshold. You cross it and come out changed, and how you are treated as you cross matters for a lifetime.

The maternity system is large and busy, and it is easy to feel like you are being moved through it rather than cared for. Most women I meet are caught between two fears. That something will be done to them that did not need to be done. Or that when something is genuinely needed, it will not come soon enough.

You are not meant to work that out alone.

Pregnancy and birth are normal, healthy life experiences. My care attends to the whole picture: your body, your history, your circumstances, your family, and whatever else you are carrying. No two women arrive with the same needs, and I respond to you individually and with respect. I will give you accurate information, honest answers and enough time to think, so that what you choose is actually your choice.

Prepare properly and you go into birth informed and supported, and into motherhood steady rather than blindsided.

I provide midwifery care throughout pregnancy, labour and birth, and the postnatal period. Care is available in your home, at my clinic in Paddington, Sydney, and via telehealth across Australia.
